I read this Aragorn/Legolas fic were Aragron is a ranger and he does something for a king (....or something like that) and he sees Legolas, who is caged up and treated like a wild animal. Aragorn is outraged and demands Legolas as payment for what he did for the king (?). Anybody recognize this story?

Some thoughts:

The manga boys love is so endlessly tragic. I had forgotten that when I read it and unlike the tragedy in kano miyamoto's series the tragedy in boys love lacked that catharsis or cleansing of emotion that i think good angst has. Its still a great example of a lot of yaoi cliches.

Net comics was my favorite publisher last month. Not only did they have a good showing at yaoi con but I enjoyed ever manga they brought with them including some of the comedies they are releasing this month. I highly recommend getting  Love Full of Scars it was hilarious. But any of the releases they had this month aren't the traditional pretty boy art styles. But if you want a taste of something different you really have to try it!

Yaoicon, there was only 1 actual dealer panel and it was DMPs. It was short but informative. There are picking up kizuna along with the tyrant series. So is this official proof drama queen is dead if they have lost their licensing? And they are really pushing their emanga service that allows you to rent/purchase manga on your computer that can only be viewed through their program. They licensed a bunch of harlequin manga for it and said some of the less popular/ experimental yaoi authors may go straight to emanga and only get a print version releases if enough emanga versions are sold to show interest. It was also said the reason close the last door 2 was pushed back in the release schedual is 1 just didn't sell well enough. Yugi yamada doesn't have the star power in America i guess. I think over all i was disappointed by that but i understand the business sense.

I met yayoi neko at con who is one of the few american yaoi bara artists I can think of. She is doing a simply amazing doujinshi based on sherlock holmes so if you like bara try to track her down.

S volume 4 is available for a premium price at akadot retail. So go now if you want to grab one of the few copies available for this out of print conclusion.

I'm thinking of doing postings of reviews on this months releases throughout the month. Is that something anyone would be interested in?

I'm also looking to hire someone who has at least an hour a month and is into yaoi anime to make a comprehensive list of the yaoi animes that are out in japan and an upcoming list, they would also have to keep a list up of the licensed yaoi animes currently available in English. Sorry but there is no pay involved. Please IM me if your interested and can stick with us for the long haul. Thank you!
